Feedback Systems OpenCourseWare: MIT's Free Graduate Level Course on Feedback System Design
All electronic and electromechanical systems include a way to measure and analyze output. This is known as feedback. A free course offered by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 'Feedback Systems' teaches the basics of how to design feedback systems. This graduate-level OpenCourseWare from MIT is appropriate for students interested in applying feedback systems into their work in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and other related fields.

Feedback Systems: Course Description
This OpenCourseWare from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology provides an introduction on how to design the feedback systems used in electromechanical devices. Students will learn how to decide between the use of open and closed systems, how to make block diagrams and physical models of their feedback systems, as well as the applications of a variety of theories to their work. These theories include the Nyquist criterion, Black's formula and many others. Students interested in taking this course should have a strong background in linear systems, circuitry, physics and advanced mathematics. MIT Professor Robert Laberge teaches this free graduate-level course with the help of contributors Professor Joel Dawson and Dr. Kent Lundberg. The class is one of three courses on analog circuit development. The other two are 'Solid State Circuits' and 'Advanced Circuit Techniques.'
This OpenCourseWare includes a complete set of handouts, lab assignments, problem sets, demonstrations, quizzes and final exams. To download course materials, or to learn more, visit the feedback systems course page.
