Analysis and Design of Feedback Control Systems: Course Description

Students may use the course materials from MIT's 'Analysis and Design of Feedback Control Systems' to explore a variety of topics, including op-amps, actuators and transformers, root locus and frequency response. Other topics covered include Bode plots, Nyquist plots, frequency-domain design, state-space control design and discrete-time design. The course was originally developed by Professor David Trumper for MIT's Mechanical Engineering program. The readings are mostly from Normal Nise's textbook Control Systems Engineering. The problem sets encourage students to look at topics in greater depth.
