Lambing and Sheep Management: Course Description

'Lambing and Sheep Management' is an extension course from Utah State University. The first five of the 11 videos that comprise the OpenCourseWare cover baby lamb survival techniques, managing sheep after lambing, disease control and sheep shearing, as well as castrating, docking and earmarking. The remaining six videos address problems related to sheep lice, the finances of sheep ranching and the controversy over sheep grazing on public lands. The videos combine on-site demonstrations of lamb and sheep care methods and public talks offered as video feeds at several sites throughout Utah. Numerous presenters, including ranchers, veterinarians and researchers, offer their expertise on the videos.

Course materials include online video lectures and Web-based resources. If you're interested in taking this course, visit the lambing and sheep management course page.
