Landscape Maintenance (Plants): Course Description

Throughout this course, USU Professor, Roger Kjelgren, examines the benefits of non-turf plants in the western United States. Besides playing an important part in protecting our environment, non-turf plants serve as a filter for excess rain. Although rain is somewhat scarce out west, a heavy storm can do a lot of damage to your landscape. Since the ground is so dry it is not able to absorb water as quickly thus resulting in a large amount of runoff from rain. This is why, as Professor Roger Kjelgren explains in this, the fourth in a series of videos, non-turf plants are so vital.
