Experimental Biology and Communication: Course Description

Biological facts and modes of experimentation are integrated in this OpenCourseWare. This instruction emphasizes effective communication skills in written research projects. Concepts covered include genetics, protein biochemistry and recombinant DNA methods. Presented in lab format, this OpenCourseWare includes recitation notes from the on-campus lab sessions. Additionally, there are links to various resources for each of the lab topics, including photos and videos. A team of eight MIT professors contribute to this OpenCourseWare. Students can further polish their research publication skills by taking MIT's 'Experimental Biology (Communications Intensive)' OpenCourseWare.
