Airline Management: Course Description

Airline management economic topics, models of operation planning and tools that support decision-making are examined in 'Airline Management,' a free OpenCourseWare offered through MIT. Taught by Dr. Peter Belobaba, the course concentrates on economic models of cost, demand, pricing and supply to airlines. Business practices and up-and-coming systems for fleet planning, scheduling, pricing, route network design and revenue management are also examined. Students in the original class participated in an airline management simulation. Notes on this simulation assignment are included in the online resources. The original course was part of graduate-level degree programs in the Aeronautic and Astronauts Department at MIT.
