Strategic View of Performance: Course Description
Offering an overview of the meaning of the term strategy, the 'Strategic View of Performance' OpenCourseWare also examines the ways in which strategy relates to management. Main course topics include organizational capabilities and the value chain. Also featured in the class is an investigation of Porter's 'Five Forces' framework, as well as practical ways in which it may be applied. Emergent strategy is examined, with particular emphasis placed upon the role that middle managers play in the process.
