Meiosis and Mitosis: Course Description

'Meiosis and Mitosis' teaches students about dominant and recessive genes, phenotypes and the two processes involved in sexual reproduction. This free OpenCourseWare, from The Open University's Science Department, also provides students with an experiment, which highlights the two stages of reproduction and teaches students about the patterns of inheritance. Students will gain a basic understanding of chromosome behavior and genetics by taking this course. Most students will need about eight hours to complete this free online course.
