We encounter countless manufactured materials in everyday life, yet most of us give little thought to the processes that created these materials. This course looks at the concepts, materials, principles and techniques of a variety of manufacturing processes. Case studies reinforce course topics. Topics include casting, forming, surface engineering, joining, cutting, component parts and product design specification.
