Methods and Terms of Payment: Course Description

Offering an introduction to the many methods of payment that are available to corporations today, this course covers many topics, including methods of entry and terms of sale. Also discussed in the class are the roles of the agent and the distributor, as well as the important differences between the two. Licensing and franchising are investigated as well, including a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of both options. The wide variety of resources available to aid corporations in their execution of international transactions is also considered, including the United States Department of Commerce and the Small Business Administration. The 'Methods and Terms of Payment' OpenCourseWare is offered through the Michigan State University's Global Learning Ventures initiative.
