Implant Dentistry: Course Description

Implants have been used for several years with a variety of materials and many levels of success. Learn about the different types of implants used over time and how they compare with what is used today. Tufts University in Medford, MA, identifies the type of patient that can and should have implants and those who should not for various medical or dental reasons. The course also examines the different types of implants used today and the advantages and disadvantages of each.Tufts University Professors Nopsaran Chaimattayompol and Nancy Arbree lead this course, which examines all aspects of implant dentistry, including the risks and benefits of the treatment. Students learn about how to create implants and treatment programs for patients.
