'German II' course materials are available online through the free OpenCourseWare program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The 'German II' course was originally designed for both graduate and undergraduate MIT students fulfilling university language requirements, pursuing German language minors, or just learning the language for pleasure. The course introduced intermediate-level vocabulary and grammar.

German II: Course Description

After completing German I, Massachusetts Institute of Technology's German language students had the opportunity to further strengthen their skills in 'German II.' This class emphasized the use of German language as a bridge to German culture and history. In addition to studying textbook vocabulary and grammar, 'German II' students at MIT were also exposed to authentic German language through a variety of media sources. Students experienced brief samples of German literature as well. This lecture course was taught by Professor Ellen Crocker and fulfilled undergraduate and graduate foreign language requirements.
