While an associate degree in School Administration may be a good professional starting point, most jobs in School Administration require a master's degree or, at the very least, a bachelor's degree. An Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education and Administration. does not qualify 2-year degree holders to become School Administrators just yet, since most positions require a master's degree or, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree. Graduates with a School Administration associate's degree can gain experience in education while earning a higher degree. Many states allow individuals with 2-year degrees to work as substitute teachers, daycare assistants or teacher's aides.
