Oral Public Health and Community Service Program: Course Description
Discover the role of oral care in public health. Students learn to analyze what the dental practice needs to run smoothly, evaluate the service and sustain what the system. The OpenCourseWare, offered by Tufts University in Medford, MA, addresses oral health concerns, issues and topics, such as tobacco use. Students learn the role of biostatistics and epidemiology in public health. The role of public health care workers in the community to educate people about health concerns and solve health problems is also included. Tufts University Professors Shanton H. Wolfe and Paul Vankevich teach this course about strategies and methods to enlighten the community about public health concerns and find solutions for these problems.
