Utilization of Nursing Research in Advanced Practice: Course Description

Professors Huey-Ming Tzeng, Ph.D., RN, Sonia A. Duffy, Ph.D., RN and Lisa K. Low, Ph.D., RN, CNM, FACNM, of the University of Michigan, developed the 'Utilization of Nursing Research in Advanced Practice' course to provide students with a deeper understanding of the evidence-based approach to advanced practice nursing. The course helps students to make use of today's technologies to synthesize and analyze collected data. The emphasis of the course is on the application of research utilization concepts and processes to advanced practice nursing. Prior coursework in statistical analysis methodologies is recommended before attempting this graduate-level course.
