Macroeconomic Theory IV: Course Description

The final part of a four-part series, the 'Macroeconomic Theory IV' OpenCourseWare examines the details of labor and goods markets. The course also focuses on the study of credit and financial markets, like banks, as well as credit crunches and financial bubbles. Students will also study the theories of markup and price adjustments, among others. To help with the analysis of complex subjects, the OpenCourseWare provides an introduction to log-linearizations in the form of a downloadable PDF. Professor Ricardo Caballero of the MIT Economics Department teaches this lecture-based course.

A final exam and three home assignments are available for download. A list of suggested readings are also available online. To download course materials or to learn more, visit the macroeconomic theory course page.
