Education Required to Become a Home Economics Teacher

A bachelor's degree in secondary education or family & consumer science education is the minimum requirement to become a middle or high school Home Economics Teacher. Some employers may require a Master of Arts in Family & Consumer Sciences or a Master of Arts in Secondary Education within a few years of hire.
