Psychology in the 21st Century: Course Description
In the field of Psychology, there are often many 'correct' responses to the same question. These answers are usually found by drawing on multiple psychological perspectives. After completing The Open University course 'Psychology in the 21st Century,' you will be able to recognize many of these diverse perspectives and disciplines. The readings discuss the history of Psychology, tracing its roots to the fields of medicine, philosophy, biology, psychoanalysis and ethnography. The course goes on to explore the impact of today's culture and society on the field.
