Environmental Ethics: Course Description

Capilano University has posted Professor Michael Fleming's course titled 'Environmental Ethics' to the OpenCourseWare site. The course is part of the philosophy department at the university. Fleming focuses on introducing students to philosophical and moral study of humans and their interactions both with other humans and with their natural environment. Topics include cultural biases of environmental situations, global perspectives on environment, including hunger and overpopulation, valuing nature and economic impacts of environmental protection and destruction. The original 15 weeks of instruction are provided here in a directed-study format.
