Laboratory Fundamentals in Biological Engineering: Course Description

The MIT Biological Engineering department offers this free OpenCourseWare designed to acquaint students with beginning biochemical and molecular lab techniques. Students will build knowledge by completing three series of experiments on genome, expression and biomaterial engineering. They will leave this course with an understanding of sound scientific practices in the lab, including good health and safety habits. Professors Angela Belcher, Drew Endy, Dr. Natalie Kuldell and Dr. Agi Stachowiak with assistance from writing instructor Neal Lerner and oral presentation instructor Atissa Banuazizi. Special software is required.
