Dance Skills: Course Description

Dance is the maneuvering of one's body in a balanced way, in a portioned space most often to music, for the purpose of expression, exercise or simply the art itself. The Open University teaches students how to use their bodies both safely and effectively, introducing key skills useful in expressing oneself in the world of dance. Styles of dance introduced during this course include African Dance, Jazz Dance, and Hip Hop. As is traditional, students will also focus on Contemporary Dance throughout this course as well.
