Toxicology and Public Health: Course Description
'Toxicology and Public Health' was an elective lecture course for biomedical engineering undergraduate minors at MIT. The class was team-taught by Professors James Sherley, Laura Green and Steven Tannenbaum. 'Toxicology and Public Health' OpenCourseWare investigates topics like epidemiology, toxicology, biostatistics, environetics and quantitative risk. It also considers how chemicals interact with the body, i.e. how they distribute themselves throughout the body, are metabolized and react with various cellular constituents. The course also explores national and local case studies.
