Network System Analyst Degree Program Details

Associate of Science in Networking Services Technology

At the associate level, aspiring network system analysts can prepare for entry-level opportunities installing, maintaining or troubleshooting computer network systems. Graduates are qualified to pursue industry certifications, such as the Network+ Network Technician credential or the Cisco Certified Network Associate designation.

Network System Analyst Bachelor's Degree

Since many employers prefer that network system analysts possess at least a bachelor's degree, candidates may decide to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a systems analyst specialization or a Bachelor of Science in Network Technology; each of these programs takes four years to complete. At the baccalaureate level, students develop network design, development and maintenance skills. They also learn how computer technologies and applications affect businesses, and develop client relations skills.

Master of Science in Information Systems

Network analysts seeking to continue their education or qualify for management roles may enroll in a master's degree program for information systems, information technology, computer science or a related discipline. Graduate students take classes in system assessments, design, data recovery and network assurance. They also gain project management experience. Thesis and non-thesis options are available and vary by school.
