Media Education and the Marketplace: Course Description
Globalization capitalizes on the power of communication networks and the creation of resourceful and efficient means to exchange information. 'Media Education and the Marketplace' is provided by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures. The instructors are Professor Shigeru Miyagawa and Mr. Manish Gaud. This free course will explore how three elements, media, education and the marketplace, combine to reshape and redefine the economies and social lives of countries around the globe. Students will not only develop an appreciation for the different types of information and communication technology around the world, but how these factors are impacting developing nations.
