Language Acquisition I: Course Description
Language, a human way of communicating, is an essential characteristic of a person's life. But when does a human acquire language? At what age does a child first decipher correct and incorrect speech? Learn answers to these questions and more in the OpenCourseWare 'Language Acquisition I,' offered by MIT's Brain and Cognitive Sciences department. Professor Ken Wexler lectures on the fundamentals of language acquisition, including the prevailing data and theory concerning the biology and psychology of language acquisition.
