Located in the Phoenix, Arizona, metropolitan area, Collins College has been providing students with in-depth graphic design educations for over 30 years. Collins College Overview

Collins College was established in 1978 by graphic designer and former Esquire art director Al Collins. The school grants degrees in a variety of graphic art and media fields, including fashion design, visual art, video production, game design and interior design.

The college enrolls approximately 1,500 students and has one faculty member per every 25 students. Collins College has two Arizona locations: the main campus in Tempe and the downtown Phoenix campus.

Admissions and Enrollment Overview

Incoming students are required to present GED or high school transcripts and participate in personal admissions interviews at the beginning of the application process. Each applicants must fill out a Student Information Record, pay the admission fee and sign an enrollment agreement before being considered for acceptance. Collins College offers students a variety of financial aid options, including grants, scholarships, student loans and work study programs.

Campus Learning Environment and Facilities

At Collins College, students attend a mixture of classes, lectures and workshops and participate in hands-on training. The school has a film facility equipped with the latest HD camera equipment, a 150-seat movie theater, digital print room, photography studio, computer labs and two 2000-square-foot sound stages.

Both Collin College campuses feature full-support libraries that include multi-media materials and online database access. Students have access to the national CECybrary, which provides virtual collections of resource materials, relevant website links, instructor notes and online journals and texts. Collin College offers many of its general education courses online. Students may use their online accounts to register for classes, check grades and arrange account payments through the campus portal.
