Theory of Solids II: Course Description
'Theory of Solids II' is the second of two courses at MIT on the topic of the theoretical approach to the physics of solids. The course was originally offered in lecture format and taught by Professor Patrick Lee. 'Theory of Solids II' OpenCourseWare covers theory of linear response, scattering experiment, disorder physics, superconductor revisited, magnetism, Kondo Resonance and theory of Fermi liquid. Ideally, anyone considering this course should first look at the first course in the series. The course was offered in the Physics Department of MIT.
Lecture notes and assignments are included with this OpenCourseWare. To take a more in-depth look at this course, please visit the physics of solids course page.
