The University of Kentucky has several well-regarded programs. U.S. News and World Report ranked the public financing and budget program fourth in the nation in 2008. The magazine ranked the pharmacy school fifth in 2009.

Admissions and Enrollment Overview

Incoming freshmen must complete the application for undergraduate admission, which is available on the school website. The University of Kentucky also requires either ACT or SAT scores, a high school transcript and a non-refundable application processing fee. Graduate students must apply based on their individual program's requirements, which usually include a graduate school admission test, essays and non-refundable fees. Campus Facilities and Learning Environment

The University of Kentucky is home to 15 campus libraries, most of which house collections on individual subjects. The university competes in Division I athletics. In addition to popular football and basketball programs, UK has a nationally-ranked cross country team and has won championships in gymnastics and cheerleading. The university also has a prominent Greek life, student government and two FM stations.
