University of Central Oklahoma Overview

Edmond, Oklahoma, is a northern suburb of Oklahoma City. The University of Central Oklahoma is the state's oldest institution, founded in 1890, and the third largest school in the state, with almost 16,000 students. The school offers certificates and non-degree professional programs, as well as associate's degrees, bachelor's degrees and master's degrees. Of University of Central Oklahoma's students, 14,156 are undergraduates.

Admissions and Enrollment Overview

All students applying to the University of Central Oklahoma must submit an official high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores, as well as sending a completed admission application (including a statement of purpose) and a non-refundable application fee. Transfer students must submit their college transcripts in addition to these items. The school's Jazz Lab serves not just as a program within the school, but also as a live music venue. It's won 'Best Place for Live Music' several times from Edmond Life and Leisure's annual 'Reader's Choice' poll. The school has more than 40 buildings on its campus. Its athletic program, while an NCAA Division II school, is the largest school in the Lone Star Conference.
