Sullivan University Review

Sullivan University is a private university based in Louisville, Kentucky. It is Kentucky's largest private university and is known for its culinary arts and dispute resolution programs.

Sullivan University Overview

Sullivan University was founded in 1962 as the Sullivan Business College. In 1982 and 1985, the school expanded by adding campuses in Ft. Knox and Lexington. Sullivan also opened the National Center for Hospitality Studies in 1987, adding culinary arts, pastry arts and hotel management programs. In 1990, Sullivan added graduate studies to its repertoire, and in 2008, the school added its first doctoral program (in pharmaceutical studies). Sullivan University also offers online programs via its Global e-Learning division. Over 8,000 students are enrolled at Sullivan University's three campuses.

Sullivan's culinary program is highly regarded in the United States, and students operate the university-owned Wintson's Restaurant while they complete their degree programs. This allows them to acquire real-world experience in a way that does not compromise their academic performance.

Admissions and Enrollment Overview

Each prospective student must choose a Sullivan University campus to attend and apply using an online form specific to the chosen campus. There are also separate applications for the Graduate School, the College of Pharmacy and the Global e-Learning division. Sullivan University adheres to an open admission policy, meaning any student that applies is accepted.
