Saint.Cloud State's five colleges offer certificate, diploma, associate's, pre-professional and bachelor's programs in the liberal arts, science, business, education and the social sciences, including some unusual specialties like travel and tourism, aviation operations and entrepreneurship.

More than 60 graduate programs lead to Ed.D., Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Engineering Management, Master of Music and Master of Business Administration degrees. There are also specialist, sixth-year, licensure and certificate programs.

Admissions and Enrollment Overview

There are no hard-and-fast criteria for admission, but an applicant's high school academic record and curriculum carry the greatest weight, followed by scores on standardized tests. Other factors, like extracurricular and community activities, will also be considered. Most accepted candidates have followed the state's college preparatory curriculum guidelines, and are ranked in the upper half of their high school graduating class.

Of the 700 full-time graduate students, 40% receive an assistantship that offers a substantial stipend plus 16 credits of free graduate tuition a year. In exchange, graduate assistants complete an estimated 20 hours of work a week.

Campus Facilities and Learning Environment

In addition to its state-of-the-art library, Saint Cloud State University has enhanced more than 135 'smart' classrooms and 50 computer laboratories. Campus-wide access to its data network has a record of 99.9% up-time.

There are nine residential halls hosting 3,000 on-campus students in a variety of living options, including gender-based floors, coed floors and apartment living. Dorm life offers free basic cable, ethernet, local printers, voice mail and free delivery of three newspapers.

Saint Cloud State students enjoy hundreds of on-campus events and activities, two art galleries, year-round theatrical productions, 250 student-run organizations, 19 NCAA Division II athletic teams, two Division I hockey teams, and a host of intramural and club sports. The university maintains a scenic 2.7-mile exercise route, challenge course, climbing wall, fitness center, swimming pools, ice rinks and an all-weather dome that keeps Husky Stadium open throughout the year.
