Minnesota State University at Mankato (MSUM) is located on a 303-acre campus in the scenic Minnesota River Valley, less than two hours south of Minneapolis. The school offers certificate, associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs both on-campus and online.

The university has more than 14,500 students representing over 70 countries. Students can participate in NCAA athletic programs, over 200 student groups, student musical performances, art programs and the student theater program.

Admissions and Enrollment Overview

Students must submit their completed applications at least five days before the start of the semester. MSUM also requires high school transcripts and ACT test scores. Around 88% of students who apply to the school are accepted. One faculty member is available for every 22 students at the university, and the majority of classes have fewer than 20 students. The school offers day, evening and weekend classes, online classes and classes at its 11 satellite locations.
