D'Mart Institute Overview

For more than 25 years, D'Mart Institute has provided students with career and technical training programs in Puerto Rico. The school enrolls nearly 3,000 students per year, and is approved by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. The cosmetology program recently won the Prix Paoli Beauty School of the Year, and has also received accolades from the Association of Beauty Specialists of Puerto Rico.

All programs at D'Mart institute last one year and award a certificate. They prepare students to directly enter the workforce. Individuals enrolled in the HVAC technician program have the opportunity to take the state certification exam as part of the program.

Admissions and Enrollment Overview

Individuals interested in attending D'Mart Institute can apply online. Applicants must be graduates of the ninth grade, and must also be able to show proof of citizenship. D'Mart Institute does not set a minimum GPA. A non-refundable application fee is mandatory.

Government financial aid is available to students at D'Mart Institute. Options include Pell Grants, which do not have to be paid back. Nearly all students at D'Mart Institute receive some type of financial aid.

Campus Facilities and Learning Environment

D'Mart Institute operates three campus locations. The main campus is located in Barranquitas, with satellite campuses in Corozal and Vega Alta.

D'Mart Institute students receive hands-on training in their field. Cosmetology students gain experience working in the campus salon. The emergency medical technician program has participants complete internships with local hospitals and clinics.

D'Mart Institute is committed to helping its students succeed, and provides access to an online library of text and reference books for continued off-campus learning.
