The first is in Bloomfield, minutes away from the Garden State Parkway; the second is approximately 50 miles away in Ashbury Park (Ocean Township). Concorde School of Hair Design is National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences (NACCAS)-approved.

Concorde School of Hair Design belongs to the Empire Education Group; the largest cosmetology consortium in North America, this group consists of 87 beauty schools. Both of the school's campuses provide training in all aspects of skin, hair and nail care. Graduates will be eligible to sit for state licensure within their field of specialty.

Concorde School of Hair Design has approximately 120 enrollees per campus. All certificate programs take less than 1-2 years to complete. Concorde School of Hair Design students have the opportunity to participate in the annual Empire National Competition and Hair Show, which is the world's largest cosmetology student competition.

Admissions and Enrollment Overview

In order to enroll at Concorde School of Hair Design, prospective students must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED unless they are able to pass the Ability to Benefit entrance examination. All prospects must interview with a career planning specialist and complete a student application. Financial assistance advisors and coordinators are available to guide students through the process of applying for financial aid.

Campus Learning Environment and Facilities

Concorde School of Hair Design uses both salon standard equipment and modern educational tools in its student salons. Some of these tools are manicure and pedicure stations, personal stylist stations and European backwash sinks. Programs encompass live presentations, lectures, personalized one-on-one career planning and guest speakers. Students also use interactive TeamBoards that display highly visible digital content.

Beauty services by supervised senior students are offered at both Concorde School of Hair Design locations. Students perform hair services, waxing, body treatments, facials and manicures. Make-up application is only administered in Ocean Township, while pedicures and nail-repair can only be found in Bloomfield.
