Admissions and Enrollment Overview
Boston College's admissions are extremely competitive, with only 26% of applicants gaining admission. Students applying for freshmen admission at Boston College are required to submit the common application, a supplemental application, an application fee, an essay, two teacher recommendations, standardized test scores and a counselor's recommendation. Students applying to graduate school at Boston College must look at the admissions requirements of the program to which they are applying. More than 70% of admitted students receive financial aid. Campus Facilities and Learning Environment
Boston College has eight libraries, including a theology and ministry library, a law library and a social work library. Libraries contain 2.5 million volumes, 4.2 million unites of microform, more than 215,000 government documents, 16 million pages of archived materials, more than 25,000 electronic serial subscriptions and more than 300,000 e-books. The campus also hosts several student media resources, including an art and literature magazine, three student newspapers, a radio station, a student-run cable television station and several school-sponsored musical acts.
