The Sun: Course Description

'The Sun,' an undergraduate-level OpenCourseWare, teaches students about the sun, including its structure, distance, radiation and temperature. Students will also learn about wavelengths and energy transfers within the sun. Upon completion of this course, an OpenCourseWare reader will know the sun and its internal and external processes. Students will also learn how to measure the angular size of the sun and the distance to the sun. It will take OpenCourseWare readers approximately eight hours to complete this course. This outstanding OpenCourseWare is offered by the Science Department of The Open University.
