Intro to Tech Communication: Course Description
Scientists and researchers rely on strong writing abilities to effectively communicate their ideas both to coworkers and to the community. MIT's 'Intro to Tech Communication' OpenCourseWare introduces students to the skills they need to accomplish clear and informative technical writing. Examples of technical documents explored by students in this class include progress reports, research analyses, scientific articles, conference papers and grant proposals. The course covers methods of composition and organization of technical information, as well as the writing guidelines of scientific disciplines. MIT professor Kimberly De Vries teaches this undergraduate-level OpenCourseWare.
