Students taking part in MIT's 'Spanish IV' will learn continue to build their Spanish speaking, reading and writing skills. The course is for students seeking a degree in Spanish or prerequisites for another degree and also aims to deepen an understanding of the Spanish-speaking world. Students are expected to have completed Spanish I, II & III before completing this course.

Spanish IV: Course Description

'Spanish IV' is taught by Professors Margarita Ribas Groeger and Solivia Marquez. 'Spanish IV' continues to develop a student's understanding of the Spanish language by completing exercises that enhance reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Students will also be able to read, understand and appreciate literary and non-literary texts in Spanish. This course is organized by themes based on modern issues related to the Spanish-speaking world. These themes include economic development and its effects, the changing roles of women and an individual's rights within political systems. Students can complete four tests and written work.
