Students taking part in the Massachusetts's Institute of Technology's (MIT) 'Spanish III' OpenCourseWare project will learn the Spanish language in an intermediate setting. The course focuses on grammar, vocabulary, cultural awareness and essay writing. Students should have completed Spanish I & II before taking this course, which is useful for a degree in Spanish or completing prerequisites for another program.

Spanish III: Course Description

'Spanish III' is taught by Professors Douglas Morgenstern and Jose A. Ramos. Students are expected to have completed Spanish I & II before taking part in this class. 'Spanish III' is the first intermediate-level Spanish course. Its goal is to develop proficiency in reading, listening, writing and speaking. Students will also be expected to complete simulation activities and activities with interviews and music videos. Students are also expected to participate in the MITUPV Exchange Project, which is a multimedia website that covers student life at MIT and other universities across the world, such as the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia in Spain. The final grade is determined by a combination of written class work, participation in the MITUPV project and exams.
