Solid State Circuits: Course Description

This OpenCourseWare from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology takes a look at how active device circuits are designed, tested and analyzed. In this class, students will study the Miller Effect and how it influences circuit design, as well as many other theoretical topics. While 'Solid State Circuits' focuses on circuits that use bipolar-junction transistors, the knowledge gained will help students work with circuits that make use of JFETs, MESFETs, MOSFETs and vacuum tubes. MIT Professor Kent Lundberg teaches this free graduate-level course. The class is part of a series of courses on analog circuits. Other courses in the series are 'Feedback Systems' and 'Advanced Circuit Techniques.'

This OpenCourseWare includes downloadable problem sets, lab assignments, examples of circuits in commercially available products and transistor data sheets. If you are interested in taking this free course, visit the solid state circuitry course page.
