Rocket Propulsion: Course Description

This course begins by inspecting different types of rocket propulsion engines, such as thermal, electrostatic and electromagnetic. Professor Manuel Martinez-Sanchez will examine different thrust levels provided by each engine, the energy source needed for each rocket and performance measures of the rockets. This course will also break down the composition of solid and liquid propellants. Students will study the combustion of liquid propellants, the proposed goals and constraints of solid propellants and the stability of both propellants. This course will also look at the mechanical design and performance of turbo machines. 'Rocket Propulsion' is presented in lecture format.

Lectures, study materials and suggested readings are available online for free for this course. If you would like to take advantage of this free course, visit the Rocket Propulsion course page.
