Problem Solving for Immunization Programs: Course Description

Three million deaths occur worldwide from diseases that have available vaccinations. This OpenCourseWare from Johns Hopkins University's School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland provides an in-depth look at the vaccines offered around th world, their effectiveness and the responsibilities of an immunization program. Students delve into strategies designed to make immunization programs more effective. To do this, students will study the problems faced by existing immunization programs. The course teaches the history of immunizations in the U.S. and Europe. Also taught are the immunization goals for the rest of the world in the 21st century and beyond. Michael J.
