Managing Transformations in Work, Organizations, and Society: Course Description

Business managers, corporate executives and entrepreneurs must adapt to recent trends in business organizations, including a radically changing workforce and new approaches to the relationship between companies and society. In response to changes in the global economy, experts in industrial organization and business administration have created and debated many new business management theories. This free course is an overview of recent innovations in the field of business management, with a focus on the skills successful managers need to face rapidly evolving markets. Topics in this OpenCourseWare include sustainable business models, the effects of cultural diversity on corporate structure and the integration of information technology and human resources. This course is co-taught by Professor Thomas Kochan, Joel Cutcher-Gershenfeld and Wanda Orlikowski. This lecture course is intended for graduate students in a Masters of Business Administration degree program.
