Relationship Management: Class Description

This free OpenCourseWare stresses the importance of forming relationships within one's business organization. It also addresses how those relationships affect an organization's fundraising abilities. This course seeks to educate students on how they can improve their co-workers' views of their respective job performances. Students study the roles of consumers and stakeholders in a business environment, defining and exploring the functions of both. Specific attention is given to the roles of customers and suppliers. The course also focus on nonprofit organizations, exploring the tensions that can arise between nonprofits and the public. 'Relationship Management' concludes with a case study that explores various problems encountered during the fundraising process and common concerns that affect it. This is a 3-hour class.
