MADM with Applications in Material Selection and Optimal Design: Course Description

'MADM with Applications in Material Selection and Optimal Design' is taught by Professor Dr. Abbas Sadeghzadeh Milani. Students will learn about multiple attribute decision making (MADM) models and how the applications of these models affect materials selection in engineering design. Other topics that will be covered in class include dealing with uncertainties in material properties, weighing different decision makers opinions when it comes to effective engineering design and compensations and non-compensations. Students will complete an exam and read course texts. This course was originally offered during a 4-week special term at MIT in January 2007.

Selected readings, a take-home exam and information regarding the final project are available for free download from the course page. If you are interested in taking this course, please visit the MADM with applications in material selection and optimal design course page.
