Knowledge-Based Applications Systems: Course Description
This graduate-level OpenCourseWare from MIT follows several case studies from a number of application domains to illustrate the techniques employed to build successful software systems. Students in this course can expect to study logic, semantic nets and different methods of learning, reasoning and problem solving. The course also features a general overview of artificial intelligence principles, data types, ontology and more. Professor Randall Davis teaches this lecture-based course and recommends that students have completed prior coursework in artificial intelligence. Freely available JAVA software is needed to get the most out of this course.
