Introduction to Mathematical Programming: Course Description

Professor John Tsitsiklis of MIT taught the original 'Introduction to Mathematical Programming' course. It introduces students to algorithms and optimization problems and their complexity. Emphasis is placed on underlying math structures and basic methodologies. Topics covered include algorithms and theory - linear programming, network algorithms, flow problems, combinatorial problems and integer programming. The original course was delivered via lectures and geared towards graduate students in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. A simplified Chinese version is available. It is recommended the student have some knowledge of linear algebra and access to MATLAB.

This course includes a reading list, lectures, recitations, assignments, quizzes and MATLAB related links. If you'd like to learn more about this free graduate course from MIT, please visit the math programming course page.
