Creating Interactive Multimedia: Course Description

The course introduces techniques, tools and technologies associated with the development of interactive multimedia. The course focuses on developing professional educators' capacity to effectively communicate with professional developers and designers of interactive media. The course introduces techniques and tools used in multimedia creation and multimedia elements' characteristics. Professor Peter Albion taught the original course in a lecture-computer lab format, This course was originally offered by the Faculty of Education to undergrad and graduate students. Basic knowledge concerning how to design and publish a website would be helpful. The course requires access to various software packages, such as Macromedia Flash or Fireworks.
