Finite Elements Analysis of Solids and Fluids: Course Description

Professor Klaus-Jurgen Bathe offers the 'Finite Elements Analysis of Solids and Fluids' OpenCourseWare for students with an interest in the finite element analysis of structures, solids and fluids. The course is broken down into six parts. The concept of finite element methods for linear static analysis of structures and solids, the displacement-based finite element procedures, nonlinear static analysis by finite element methods and the analysis of heat transfer by finite element methods. The final two areas include fluid flow analysis by finite element methods and the use of finite element procedures.

Lecture notes, problem sets, quizzes and solutions are available for download online for free. For more information on this free OpenCourseWare, visit the analysis of solids and fluids course page.
