MIT Sloan School of Management's Master of Business Administration program has produced an interesting course that combines management goals with theater and comedy techniques. The result is 'Dynamic Leadership: Using Improvisation in Business,' which is offered through MIT's OpenCourseWare project. Aimed at MBA students, this class could also benefit others in leadership positions.

Dynamic Leadership: Course Description

Professor Lakshmi Balachandra begins this course with an overview of improvisation in comedy and theater. Readings, drawn from books and magazine articles, follow the course's movement from acting to management. The course concludes that improv skills can be applied to strategize and manage in a changing business environment. Course topics include improvisation an intro, improvisation methodology and learning about leadership from improvisation.
